Flooring & More Carpet One has a rich history in the Chattahoochee Valley. Started in 1964 as Columbus CarpetMill Store, it was an outlet for the mill next door—Columbus Carpet Mill, a division of Swift Mills. In February 2008, Al and Barbara Gaston bought the business, changing the name to Flooring & More Carpet One, all the while maintaining its reputation as one of the largest floor covering retailers in the greater Columbus area.

The name, Flooring & More Carpet One, was chosen to reflect the array of products and services they now offer, as well as their affiliation with the well-respected, Carpet One buying group. With a well-established reputation for quality and service, the Gastons have expanded their products beyond carpet into tile, hardwoods, vinyl, laminates, rugs and related products offering a full line of installation services and cleaning through their Steamatic franchise.
