and the Gypsies. “In an old house in
Paris that is covered in vines, live twelve little
girls in two straight lines.” When Madeline,

and end up carried away by gypsies,
their rousing adventures with a traveling circus

Chuck Negron in Concert. The former

August 12-December 12 - The Columbus museum presents "Re: Re: Re: New Work by Avantika Bawa." Avantika Bawa is a visual artist and curator. She creates new territory between sculptor and painting, similar to her ability to navigate the borders between two cultures - Indian and American. An opening reception and lecture by Bawa will be held on August 12 at 6 p.m. She will provide an overview of her work as an installation/ minimalist artist, in which she explores the cultural, regional and geographic influenced of time and space. Haunts Like These: The Legacy of Stewart
County Artist and Poet Thomas Jefferson
Flanagan.” Stewart County, Ga. native
Thomas Jefferson Flanagan was a talented
and prolific self-taught artist, poet and songwriter.
He was heavily influenced by his upbringing
in the Chattahoochee Valley and
drew on experiences in this area for both inspiration
and solace throughout his life.
Nearly two dozen of his original paintings,
many depicting local scenes, will be featured,
along with a sampling of his many
