This morning I reported early for the 9:30 stress echo test. I had just sat down in the waiting room and plugged in my iPad and Matt Baum popped his head out of the door to the treatment area and called my name out like I was being introduced for a comedy roast. Mmiiikkeee Vvennabbllee! [...] [...] Because of the precarious condition of my back, I declined a generous offer to fill a spot yesterday in one of the rafts that navigated the newly-created whitewater course on the Chattahoochee. Jill made the trip and I stood on the sidelines and watched. I knew that I had made the right decision at exactly [...] [...] We’ve got a down weekend out here in Houston. I miss home. We feel like we’ve been gone for a month. I know I have gained five pounds since we got here. It is always so much fun to explore new places to eat. Restaurants that are different from the places we always go at [...] [...] Despite a blistered rear end from sitting on 104-degree granite, the UpTown Drum Circle was such a great success. I have blogged and posted on Facebook about the wonderment of drum circles. Exactly what I had hoped would happen happened last night in UpTown Columbus. Attorneys, bankers, local retailers, PR professionals, grandparents, hippies, media types, [...] [...] All of us have seen the great power of local young professionals. They’re starting businesses, engaging in the political process and giving back by giving of their time, talent and treasure to local non-profits. In short, these great young people are taking their rightful place in our community. Columbus and the Valley has been recognizing [...] [...] We just got back to the hotel from a long, really nice dinner at Table 16 in Greensboro, NC. It was a date! It was a date! Out of town, a couple in a different town, sharing a bottle of wine and two different fish dishes. A nice ending to an exhausting day. I’ve decided [...] [...] I’M SO FRUSTRATED! I’m three weeks post surgery/food poisoning and I am still nowhere nearer to being my old self. What is so frustrating is how different I feel from day to day. And the area of concern is my stomach. For instance, last night we had made plans to grab dinner and a performance [...] [...] |
