This morning I reported early for the 9:30 stress echo test. I had just sat down in the waiting room and plugged in my iPad and Matt Baum popped his head out of the door to the treatment area and called my name out like I was being introduced for a comedy roast. Mmiiikkeee Vvennabbllee! [...] [...] For the past few months I’ve been taking a dose of Ativan at night as I go to bed to help me sleep. As you can imagine, sleep comes hard for a cancer patient. My mind just won’t shut down at night, especially since I don’t have anything I’m excited about reading right now. I [...] [...] Jill and I decided to make a road trip out of our upcoming journey out to Houston’s M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. We travel well together. Easy, like a Sunday morning. Amish grocery stores, funky shops, great local restaurants way off the beaten path and maybe an occasional casino might catch our attention for either [...] [...] I just left Dr. Alappan’s office and got the results of the very extensive testing that was done on Strainer. I have spent a lot of time in doctor’s offices over the last 11 months and I’ve been told quite a bit of bad news.
